Comic Book Show At Lotus

Kay Gregg and I worked on some collaborations together and out came “a brief history of cartoon violence.” I was humbled as an artists to work with Kay on these and I am happy at their turn out. All three of these choice pieces sold before the opening. Needless to say, we were excited about that.

Carnivale piece is done

Not a flattering photo, I know. My camera phone did this in a pinch. The piece is done at Conspiracy for the show.

Behold!

I have been lent this wall in Artlink’s new HQ for one year. I feel honored to have it and intend to have a rotating installation in it for the next year. This is going to be fun.

Carnival comes early

I have been working on several shows at once and trying to post at the same time.  It did not work well at all. The art and shows are done. The opening were a blast. It is now catch up time on the blog.

Carnivale show progress

The brain gears are in motion and the wet concrete idea is starting to cure. I drove myself out into the night to find my picture. Step 1 & 2 are done.

The redesign commission has been done for a hot minute now. The time has come to unveil the new lighter piece.

Redesign Project

I made an installation for Artlink’s Landscapes: Urban and Rural Exhibition on August 20, 2010.

The piece consists of one large piece and three satellite pieces that fit into/around the major one.

They all sold at the opening and installed at the owners home.

I received a call the other day from the buyers. The piece is to heavy for their walls.

They asked if the main piece could be made lighter for the wall. I am now reworking

the main piece by making it three smaller pieces.

New post soon on this project.
